x86 or x86-64 Edition?

Sabayon Linux supports two architectures: i386 (x86 Edition) and AMD64/EMT64 (x86-64 Edition). If your Computer supports a 64Bit Operating System, x86-64 Edition would be the best choice for you. here you can find more info about the latest releases.

Mini Editions?

Sabayon Linux is usually shipped on a 4.7GB DVD, full of software ready to use and with a complete multi-language support. Mini Editions instead, are their 700Mb CD versions, with just a restricted set of included software and English language support only.

Important notes

  • This distribution contains libdvdcss look here if you live in the U.S. !.
  • This distribution contains proprietary and non-GPL softwares too (like from NVIDIA, ATI, Google, etc). Before running them, be sure to read their license and agree with that, otherwise, just remove those applications. To run SabayonLinux without Proprietary drivers, just use "noproprietary" boot flag.
